Shakira makes a $40 Million Donation

Shakira is one of those celebrities that will easily give away millions to those who need a helping hand and it appears that she recently donated $40 million to rebuild disaster stricken areas.

 

The money came from her child poverty foundation, 'Solidarity Foundation' that she co-founded with Gabriel Garcia Marquez and it will be used to aid both Peruvian earthquake victims and hurricane sufferers in Nicaragua.

 

Shakira told the press, "I've seen first hand many of the challenges facing Latin America. These are challenging problems that no one person can address, but working together everyone can help make a difference".

 

Lily Allen said to be dating Ed Simons

The 'Smile' singer Lily Allen has been seen with the 'Chemical Brothers' star Ed Simons several times in recent weeks and was also seen watching him perform at a concert in London's Trafalgar Square earlier this month.

 

A source told Britain's 'Sun newspaper', "They are seeing more and more of each other and having a lot of fun. They have a lot in common. He could be just what Lily needs after splitting from Seb".

 

Lily is a long standing fan of the dance duo which also includes Tom Rowlands.

 

Earlier this month, Lily revealed that she had split with Seb after a two and a half year relationship. She said at the time, "I just hope I can find a new boyfriend".

Tori Spelling has learned how to make a bed

The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' actress, Tori Spelling, who is the daughter of the late billionaire Aaron Spelling apparently lived such a pampered lifestyle that she never had to do any housework.

 

Tori finally had to learn how to make a bed after she and her husband Dean McDermott opened a 'bed and breakfast' for the reality TV show 'Tori and Dean - Inn Love'.

 

When the US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres asked if she did all the housework herself, Tori replied, "Yes, I wanted to. It was the first time I'd had to do anything. I hadn't even made a bed before. When I was growing up we had two or three people to do each chore like washing dishes and making beds".

 

Ellen DeGeneres said, "I was kind of surprised that she said she never knew how to make her bed till I went to the 'Manor', which is Tori's parents' home. I was like OK I get it. You have people for all that".

 

The couple, who have a six-month-old son Liam, opened their bed and breakfast because they wanted some financial stability.

 

Dean said, "We wanted to get into it for a little bit of financial stability because you know acting is so up and down".
 
 
 

Shakira was studying all summer

We didn't hear much about Shakira for a while and she missed a lot of the red carpet events because she was studying the 'History of Western Civilization' all summer at the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

She, unlike many other celebrities, spent the whole summer studying and she is very happy about it.

 

Shakira isn't just going to parties or clubs every night but is combining her music career with her education.

 

Her spokesperson denied all rumors of marriage and said that the singer isn't at all interested in getting married right now.

Jay-Z says he and Beyonce will be getting married, "one day soon"

At a recent Las Vegas press conference to announce the plans to open his third 40/40 Club at the Palazzo hotel, the 37-year-old rapper Jay-Z confirmed that he and Beyonce Knowles will tie the knot in the very near future.

 

The couple have been dating for over four years.

 

The hip-hop mogul went on to hint that he may even choose the Palazzo as the wedding venue if the hotel's President Rob Goldstein buys Beyonce an expensive enough ring. He joked, "I don't know if the wedding will be here. It's kind of comfortable. If Rob throws in the ring, who knows?".

 

Jay also revealed that he is considering setting up house in Las Vegas, "Vegas is like no other place in the world. I'm going to ask Rob for his advice. He's pretty good with real estate. We'll see what happens".
